TV Nova approached me to serve as a coach on the topic of self-compassion
Why is it easier for many people to show understanding toward others than toward themselves? TV Nova approached me as a coach specifically to discuss this topic.
In my practice, I repeatedly see that the way we think about ourselves affects not only our mental well-being, but also our romantic relationships, family life, and work performance.
People don’t come to me because they want to be kinder to themselves. They come with long-term stress, anxiety, exhaustion, challenging relationships, or life changes. But during coaching sessions, we often discover together that behind many of their difficulties lies constant self-criticism, high expectations of themselves, and an inability to accept themselves as they are.
In the interview, I talked about how self-compassion is neither a sign of weakness nor resignation. It is the foundation of mental resilience and a healthy relationship with oneself. I also shared how my own life story has influenced the way I work with my clients today. Thanks to my own experience, I know that even difficult life events do not have to determine our future. They can be the beginning of real change.
That’s precisely why, in my work, I don’t just guide clients toward better coping with challenging situations. I help them change their relationship with themselves, because that’s what shapes the way they experience their lives, their relationships, and their everyday decisions.
